Arrive at Jay Cooke’s State Park just outside of Carlton, Minnesota. Picnic inside the hewn rock shelter with a massive fireplace or outside by the powerful St. Louis River.

10:15 – 1:00 (Canal Park) Rent a bicycle to ride along the boardwalk or walk alongside Lake Superior. You can extend your boardwalk jaunt to a lighthouse at the end of the pier. An iconic lift bridge

Grandma’s Saloon & Grill has a great reputation for delicious menu items within an interesting setting. Friendly service, priced fairly, and located within the heart of Canal Park, it’s close to many Canal Park amenities within walking distance. There are other restaurants to choose from that are also located within Canal Park. Grandma’s Saloon & Grill sponsor’s a popular marathon each June, following Scenic Route 61 along Lake Superior.

1:45 – 2:30
(Walk off your dessert & tour a ship) Leave one side of Canal Park and walk to the other side where you can tour the William A. Irvin iron ore floating Ship Museum & Boat Tours. 

 

2:30 – 3:30
(Interactive Fresh Water Aquarium), located in Canal Park.



3:30 – 4:30
(Split Rock State Park) Tour Split Rock Lighthouse.



4:30 – 5:00 (Enjoy homemade pie)
Betty’s Pies is located in Two harbors, MN, which is a neighboring city to Duluth. They serve more than pie, but if it’s pie you’d like, they have

5:00 – 7:00 (Nightlife, Outdoor Concerts, or Pickleball or Twilight Golf)




7:30 – 10:30 PM (Concert, Game, or Show)
Larger concerts, events, or games like a UMD Bulldog Hockey game, are held at the (DECC) Duluth Entertainment Convention Center.

 

 

10:30 – 12:00 AM (Night Sky Viewing)
